Access Program supported by Lotterywest
The Fremantle Biennale in collaboration with our partners at DADAA have developed an Access Program, offering different ways for people with disability to engage in our program and events. This program includes Audio-Described & Assistive Listening Performances, Tactile Tours and Auslan interpreted events and performances.
Additionally on our Information and Project pages you can find icons for assistive services and information for how to access each venue and location.
Auslan Interpreted Performances and Events
Auslan interpreting is provided at a number of our talks, performances and events. These events include:

Audio-Described & Assistive Listening Performance
Audio-Described (for people who are blind or vision impaired) and Assistive Listening (for people who are hard of hearing who use bluetooth hearing aids) are provided at the following Fremantle Biennale performances and events.

Tactile & Audio Described Tours
Experience the Fremantle Biennale through touch, sound and conversation in intimate Tactile & Audio-Described Tours led by an experienced DADAA guide, alongside Fremantle Biennale producers and artists. Each tour will involve visiting 3 Biennale artworks, exhibitions, or events. Tour programs will be announced soon.
Tactile Tours will take place on Thurs 9 Nov and Fri 10 Nov.
10.15am and 11.30am | Duration: 60 – 75 minutes

*These are free events made available to people with disability, who are blind or vision impaired, their friends, families and care networks. These tours are intimate experiences and numbers are limited per tour.
